A new gonzo true crime docu-play by Johnnie Walker about homophobia, violence, incarceration, sex, and mystery inspired by the true story of Luke O’Donovan. In 2013, Luke was arrested after a fight at a New Year’s Eve party left several men with knife-wounds—himself included. The local media portrayed Luke as a maniac who went on a stabbing spree. Luke says he was the victim of a queer-bashing, punished for the crime of fighting back. In 2014, Johnnie began writing letters to Luke in prison and looking for the truth.
Johnnie will be one of the featured storytellers at this Raconteurs event which will be taped for a new TV show!
Johnnie performs a reading from his book Redheaded Stepchild at this lit event.
